The Maths Hero Virtual Competition is jointly organised by Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) Centre for Foundation Studies (Kampar Campus), Department of Science and Engineering and KLESF.
Objectives:
1. To develop critical thinking among students.
2. To consolidate and rapid revision of mathematical facts.
Description:
Participants are required to answer a series of challenging mathematics multiple choice and short answer questions within a time limit. The questions are to be delivered in Google quiz.
Category: Secondary schools students (13 – 17 years old)
- The quiz is limited to 100 participants.
Participation: No fees are charged for participation.
Assessment Criteria:
Google quiz : 5 marks for every correct answers, 2 marks for partially correct answers and 0 mark for incorrect answer.
Rules & Regulations:
The quiz are all in English and only ONE (1) round.
The quiz is designated to individual participation.
Participants need to fill in the details completely or else will be disqualified.
The quiz duration is 45 minutes and can attempt only once. The link will be closed after 45 minutes of commencement of the quiz.
The are a total of 30 questions.
Each questions carries 5 marks. Zero mark for wrong answers.
Anyone suspected by cheating will be disqualified.
After the commencement of the quiz, late participants are not allowed to join.
Top three (3) with the highest scores obtained will be announced 31 October 2021.
The prize cannot be exchanged for other prize.
The decision of quiz organisers would be considered final.

| 1st Runner-up: | KLESF merchandise worth RM200 and e-Certificate of Achievement |
| 2nd Runner-up: | KLESF merchandise worth RM150 and e-Certificate of Achievement |
| 2x Consolation: | KLESF merchandise worth RM50 and e-Certificate of Achievement (each) |
- All student participants of the qualifying entries will be awarded an e-Certificate of Participation.
