KLESF International Challenge 2023
KLESF International Challenge 2023 will be held physically in conjunction with KLESF: The Fair 2023:
Date: 27 – 29 October 2023 (Friday – Sunday)
Time: 9.00am – 6.00pm (MYT)
Venue: MINES International Exhibition and Convention Centre (MIECC),
Jalan Dulang, MINES Wellness City, Seri Kembangan, Selangor, Malaysia
Participation in the competition is free of charge.
Objectives
- To enhance school students’ interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
- To unleash students’ innovative potential via their STEM projects.
- To promote students’ skills in problem solving, communication, thinking and innovation.
- To foster greater interaction for schools, educators, industries, public and private sector to share information and experiences on projects in STEM.
- To promote the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) among students.
Introduction
Schools students from Malaysia and overseas with STEM projects are invited to participate in the KLESF International Challenge 2023 by demonstrating their projects to the public.

All schools/teams are required to reply the email latest by 14 October 2023, 4.00pm.
Exhibition Booth
Each participating team will be provided:
- 1 info desk
- 3 chairs
- 1 electrical point
- a 1m x 2.5m shell board
Each team is responsible to bring other necessities for the setting up of its booth.

KLESF International Challenge is a competition for school students from Malaysia and overseas to demonstrate their projects to the public.
The age limit is 18 years old to compete in the competition.
There are 2 categories
(1) Primary school (12 years old or below)
(2) Secondary school (13 – 18 years old)
The participant(s) must submit a registration form. Participation form is to be filled up by each team.

Yes. When you register the competition, you have to select the number of participants. Participation could be sole, in pairs or a team of maximum 3 members.
A maximum of three (3) members are allowed per team. Only a maximum of 3 persons is presenting to the judges.
Yes can. Please take note that the team members must be in the same age range as we have 2 categories:
- Primary school (12 years old or below)
- Secondary school (13 – 18 years old)
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), also known as the Global Goals, were adopted by the United Nations in 2015 as a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure that by 2030 all people enjoy peace and prosperity.

At least two judges will evaluate each project.
Projects are judged with projects from the same category.
Judges use the Competition rubric.
