Objective

To help student to develop critical thinking and quantitative reasoning skills.

Description

Participants will be required to record themselves conducting one interesting and original event of ‘domino effect’ demonstration and to explain the science behind it.

Category

Students of Tertiary level:
18 – 23 years old
– Form 6, A-level, matriculation, college and university

Assessment Criteria

  • The most compelling domino effect in place
  • The information provided (relevance, accuracy)
  • The presentation structure (elaboration, organisation)
  • Appropriate visual aids used
  • Language used (free from grammatical or spelling errors)

Rules & Regulations

  • The competition is open to 18 – 23 years old students (Tertiary – Form 6, A-level, matriculation, college and university)
  • Participants need to submit a maximum 3 minutes long video demonstrating the domino effect in the most captivating ways and explain the physics theory(ies) behind it.
  • The video provided must be in landscape orientation, not portrait.
  • The video must be authentic – to contain only original work including any music, sound effects and still photographs, etc.
  • Each participation can submit only ONE (1) video.
  • The size of the video must be less than 1.00 GB with the file format of .MP4, .WMV or .AVI.
  • Participants must submit the video by 14 December 2022, 5pm.

Timeline

Registration Deadline: 14 December 2022 (Wednesday), 5pm (MYT)
Judging duration: 15 – 16 December 2022
Announcement of results: 18 December 2022 (closing ceremony of e-KLESF)
