Drone Assembly and Flying
Date: 24 July 2016 (Sunday)
Time: 12.00pm – 4.00 pm
Venue: KB613 – Robotics and Automation Lab, Level 6, KB block

Participants will get some basic introduction to drones at the beginning of the workshop. After introduction they get to fly the drones to get themselves familiarise with the control of the drone. Once that is done they will be building their own drone using 3D printed parts/wooden parts. Micro drones will be dismantled and the parts taken out for the participants to build their own drone.
Chemistry in Daily Life

Application of chemistry concept in our daily life.

Hands-on experiments:

  • Applications of oxidation-reduction concept and other chemical principles
  • Batteries from natural electrolyte: Participants will explore the utilization of natural electrolyte to generate voltage
  • Mirror in a test tube: Participants will make use of redox reaction to generate a silver coating.

Introduction to Arduino

Minimum age requirement: 13 and above

The workshop cover the basic for a student to start with Arduino. Basic input and output will be covered in the 3 hour session. Participants would have a chance to build a simple LED projects for the workshop.

* Participants are required to bring their own notebooks for the workshop

Robot Building using Arduino
